Can I use Asira if I have no internet access?
At the moment, Asira cannot be used without an internet connection. We are working on an offline version, however, we do not currently have a timeline for that.
Who has access to my clinical data?
You can choose who has access to your clinical data. We will only access your data if you request us to.
Can I set restrictions on access to my clinical data within my organisation?
Yes you can. You can assign roles to all of your users and that will dictate how much access they have.
Are there any customisation options?
The discharge summary / prescription that you will give your patients, can be customised with your practice logo and address/contact details, as well as the practitioner name and their credentials. You can do the customisations yourself through ‘settings’.
I am currently using paper records. Is there a way to upload them onto Asira?
Each patient has an ‘upload previous records’ option, where you can upload small scanned files of your paper records.
Can you add features to my Asira account?
We are always taking feedback from our customers and using that feedback to continually improve our services by adding new features, which all of our customers will benefit from. We add new features to the software every two weeks.
I am already using a practice management system, how do I port my data onto Asira?
If your data can be downloaded onto an excel spreadsheet, there is an ‘import’ option on the patient page of the software, which will allow you to import all your previous patient data into Asira. For each patient, there is also an option for uploading a limited amount of images. We can also port your data for you, for a small fee.
How do the reminders and notifications work?
We have Whatsapp, email and SMS integration. At the time of adding the patient to your database, you can select their preferred method of communication. Automatic notifications will get sent to the patient for appointment confirmations as well as reminders to let them know that they are due for an eye examination, based on the information you enter in the ‘Follow-Up details’ section.
How long will it take to train my staff to use Asira?
Asira is very simple to use and does not require specific training. You and your staff should be able to get the hang of it very easily during the trial period.
